Älmhults konstrunda 2019
Clay and watercolor, two completely different materials. One material is bodily and compact the other transprent and light. Both require a structured process to achieve results.
Making pictures in watercolor is a rare combination of careful planning and be able to release control at the right moment – to then hand over the creation to them physical properties of pigment, water and paper. The work on the clay requires attention to the material in all parts of the event, and in the right order, to create the result one is after.
After 10 years as Art Director at IKEA communications AB, I have since 2005 been working freelance with communication and graphic design in parallel with my own pictures and ceramics. I paint most watercolor and work both functionally and sculpturally in clay. “
